NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the positive zone in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of Indian Bank (up 3.53 per cent) , Vijaya Bank (up 2.11 per cent) , IDBI Bank (up 1.56 per cent) and Union Bank of India (up 1.21 per cent) were the top performers in the index.Bank of India (up 1.03 per cent) , Syndicate Bank (up 0.78 per cent) , Central Bank of India (up 0.44 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.37 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.43 per cent up at 3019.80 around 10:11 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 105.10 points at 11,273.15 while the BSE Sensex was up 360.21 points at 37,414.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.
