NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading higher in Monday's morning session.Shares of Mindtree (up 0.62 per cent), Wipro (up 0.59 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.23 per cent) and Tata Elxsi (up 0.15 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Infosys (up 0.14 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.13 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.12 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 15,932.75 around 10:47 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 9 points at 11,656.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 7.07 points at 38869.3.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of DLF, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing Finance, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Vedanta and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
