NEW DELHI: The SP BSE Power index was down with most of its components trading lower in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (down 3.67 per cent), Adani Power (down 1.60 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.38 per cent), and Tata Power Company (down 1.25 per cent) were trading with losses.CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 1.16 per cent), JSW Energy (down 0.77 per cent), ABB India (down 0.72 per cent) and Siemens (down 0.65 per cent) too were trading lower.
The SP BSE Power index was trading 0.30 per cent down at 2023.78 around 11:41 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 12.70 points at 11,591.80 while the BSE Sensex was down 25.33 points at 38,675.20.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Reliance Communications, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Indiabulls RE, PC Jeweller, DLF, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, South Indian Bank, Firstsource Solutions, BPCL, DHFL, Vakrangee, SAIL, PNB and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
