NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of Tata Motors (up 1.97 per cent), MRF (up 1.20 per cent), Mahindra Mahindra (up 0.62 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (up 0.50 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Hero MotoCorp (down 0.90 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 0.66 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 0.55 per cent) and Bosch (down 0.34 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.12 per cent up at 8633.50 around 09:50 am.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.40 points at 11,679.35 while the BSE Sensex was up 10.47 points at 38949.69.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Wipro, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, SBI, ICICI Bank, SAIL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Hindalco Inds., DLF, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, ONGC and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
