NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Monday's morning session.Shares of Indian Bank (down 2.03 per cent), Canara Bank (down 1.40 per cent), Bank of India (down 1.23 per cent) and Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 1.08 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
Syndicate Bank (down 1.07 per cent), Allahabad Bank (down 1.06 per cent), Bank of Baroda (down 1.05 per cent) and Union Bank of India (down 1 per cent) too were trading lower.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.95 per cent down at 3060.40 around 09:58 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 86.30 points at 11,625.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 289.14 points at 38,674.12.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ONGC, Tata Motors, SAIL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Steel, Motherson Sumi, Infosys, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Hindalco Inds.
were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
