NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's morning session.Shares of Amara Raja Batteries (up 0.68 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.58 per cent), Exide Industries (up 0.50 per cent) and Ashok Leyland (up 0.35 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
TVS Motor Company (down 0.80 per cent), MRF (down 0.42 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.34 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.32 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.04 per cent down at 8100.15 around 09:52 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 6.85 points at 11,294.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 2.06 points at 37,560.97.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Voltas, Zee Ent., Tata Motors, DHFL, Dish TV India, Ashok Leyland, PNB and SBI were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
