NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with gains in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of Bank of Baroda (up 3.21 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 2.38 per cent), Federal Bank (up 2.23 per cent) and ICICI Bank (up 1.55 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
IndusInd Bank (up 1.43 per cent), State Bank of India (up 0.49 per cent) and YES Bank (up 0.42 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.15 per cent up at 28,704.20 around 11:22 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 13.25 points at 11,134.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 45.77 points at 37,045.05.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
