NEW DELHI: The SP BSE Power index was flat with most of its components trading mixed in Tuesday's session.Shares of Adani Power (up 5.20 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 4.84 per cent), CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 3.26 per cent), and Reliance Infrastructure (up 3.23 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Torrent Power (down 1.95 per cent), KEC International (down 1.80 per cent), ABB India (down 1.01 per cent) and Thermax (down 0.75 per cent) were trading lower.
The SP BSE Power index was trading 0.11 per cent up at 1846.58 around 11:44 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 38.65 points at 11,109.55 while the BSE Sensex was down 133.86 points at 36,956.96.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, PC Jeweller, Reliance Capital, IDFC First Bank, Suzlon Energy, Spicejet, PNB and DHFL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
