NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the positive zone in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of Infibeam Avenues (up 4.42 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 2.21 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 0.84 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.73 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.71 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.63 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.61 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.53 per cent) too were trading in the green.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.68 per cent up at 15,870.30 around 10:08 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.80 points at 11,261.85 while the BSE Sensex was up 135.27 points at 37,453.80.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Union Bank India, DHFL, SBI, PC Jeweller, ITC, SAIL, PNB and Zee Ent.
