NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of IDFC First Bank (up 0.72 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.70 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.67 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.61 per cent) were trading with gains.
IndusInd Bank (up 0.52 per cent), RBL Bank (up 0.38 per cent), Axis Bank (up 0.36 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 0.19 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.40 per cent up at 28,943.20 around 11:05 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 52.20 points at 11,274.25 while the BSE Sensex was up 214.85 points at 37,533.38.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
