NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Thursday's morning session.Shares of Central Bank of India (down 5.26 per cent), Allahabad Bank (down 2.22 per cent), Punjab National Bank (down 1.58 per cent) and Union Bank of India (down 1.47 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
Canara Bank (down 1.29 per cent), Indian Bank (down 1.00 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.78 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.70 per cent) too were trading with losses.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.93 per cent down at 2873.65 around 10:01 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.95 points at 11,158.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 17.54 points at 37,132.42.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
