NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the positive zone in Monday's morning session.Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (up 8.63 per cent), Sobha (up 7.57 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 5.36 per cent) and DLF (up 4.96 per cent) were the top performers in the index.
Mahindra Lifespace Developers (up 4.66 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 3.29 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 2.93 per cent) and Godrej Properties (up 2.70 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 4.14 per cent up at 263 around 10:21 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 272.45 points at 11,679.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 913.29 points at 38,844.06.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 44 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Federal Bank, Adani Power, Ashok Leyland, DHFL, PNB, ICICI Bank and PC Jeweller were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
