NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the green in Friday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.
The SP BSE Oil Gas index was trading 0.85 per cent up at 15,281.27 around 11:48 am.
Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 4.66 per cent), Petronet LNG (up 2.27 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.64 per cent), and Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.59 per cent) were trading with gains.Indraprastha Gas (up 1.59 per cent), Castrol India (up 0.93 per cent) and Reliance Industries (up 0.39 per cent) too were trading higher.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 80.95 points at 11,738 while the BSE Sensex was up 283.15 points at 39,094.54.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.
Shares of GRUH Finance, Spicejet, Bank of Baroda, YES Bank, Dish TV India, BEL, Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, Adani Enterprises and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
