NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday's session.Shares of Punjab National Bank (down 3.07 per cent), State Bank of India (down 2.21 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.91 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 1.82 per cent) were the top losers in the index.RBL Bank (down 1 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.42 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.42 per cent) and IDFC First Bank (down 0.11 per cent) were trading in the red.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.60 per cent down at 31,409.75 around 11:01 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 18.45 points at 11,910.30 while the BSE Sensex was down 54.26 points at 39,695.47.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
