NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 270.12 points up at 40,102.09 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.Shares of Fiberweb India (down 18.25 per cent), Oriental Trimex (down 14.37 per cent) , NCC (down 12.74 per cent) , Jeevan Scientific Technology (down 11.95 per cent) , Baba Arts (down 11.73 per cent) , TCI Finance (down 11.71 per cent) , Lahoti Overseas (down 11.63 per cent) , Sree Rayalaseema (down 11.58 per cent), Prakash Constrowell (down 10.99 per cent), B L Kashyap (down 10.70 per cent) and Manpasand Beverages (down 9.98 per cent) were among the worst performers.In the Nifty pack, 41 stocks were trading in the green, while 9 stocks were in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 81.80 points up at 12,027.70.
