NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 184.14 points down at 39,345.58 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.Shares of Pritish Nandy Communications (down 19.14 per cent), Somi Conveyor (down 18.18 per cent), Eros Media (down 15.25 per cent), Shree Rama Multi Tech (down 11.83 per cent), Manaksia Aluminium Company (down 11.43 per cent), Jeevan Scientific Technology (down 10.54 per cent), Unishire Urban Infra (down 9.72 per cent), Visa Steel (down 9.28 per cent), Arrow Textiles (down 9.09 per cent), Remsons Industries (down 8.24 per cent) and Manappuram Finance (down 8.06 per cent) were among the worst performers.In the Nifty pack, 9 stocks were trading in the green, while 40 stocks were trading in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 53.70 points down at 11,790.05.
