NEW DELHI: Power shares were trading in the negative zone in Thursday's session.Shares of Suzlon Energy (down 4.91 per cent), Adani Power (down 3.87 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (down 2.42 per cent) and CG Power and Industrial Solutions (down 1.90 per cent) were trading in the red.
Thermax (down 1.80 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 1.28 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (down 1.00 per cent) and NHPC (down 0.81 per cent) too were trading lower.
The S-P BSE Power index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 1997.02 around 11:43 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 70.45 points at 11,835.75 while the BSE Sensex was down 233.02 points at 39,523.79.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
