NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session.Shares of Canara Bank (up 1.15 per cent) , Bank of India (up 0.73 per cent) , Union Bank of India (up 0.69 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (up 0.65 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 0.49 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.33 per cent) , Indian Bank (up 0.32 per cent) and Allahabad Bank (up 0.25 per cent) too were trading higher.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.47 per cent up at 2999.10 around 09:54 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 14.50 points at 11,705.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 68.88 points at 39,181.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SBI, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, GMR Infra, SAIL, PNB, Tata Motors and Wipro were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
