NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks were in the green in Tuesday's morning trade.Shares of IDFC First Bank (up 0.93 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.85 per cent), DCB Bank (up 0.76 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.74 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.60 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.While RBL Bank (down 3.80 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.84 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (down 0.79 per cent) were among the top losers.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.33 per cent up at 15,774.95 around 09:43 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 29.45 points at 11,370.6, while BSE Sensex was up 107.31 points at 38,321.78.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Tata Motors, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda, JSPL, ONGC, IRCTC and SAIL were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
