NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of Emami (up 3.36 per cent) , Godrej Consumer Products (up 1.49 per cent) , United Spirits (up 1.37 per cent) and Godrej Industries (up 0.98 per cent) were the top performers in the index.ColgatePalmolive (India) (down 1.47 per cent) , ITC (down 0.99 per cent) , Britannia Industries (down 0.66 per cent) and Tata Global Beverages (down 0.40 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.11 per cent down at 30,893.45 around 10:35 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 24.40 points at 11,452.70 while the BSE Sensex was up 64.54 points at 38,570.63.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, BPCL, Wipro, NBCC , SBI and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
