NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading higher in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (up 6.42 per cent) , Colgate-Palmolive (India) (up 2.40 per cent) , Britannia Industries (up 1.73 per cent) and United Spirits (up 1.30 per cent) were trading with gains.United Breweries (up 0.72 per cent) , Emami (up 0.65 per cent) , ITC (up 0.52 per cent) and Dabur India (up 0.50 per cent) too were trading higher.The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.42 per cent up at 31,792.75 around 10:41 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 40.90 points at 11,629.25 while the BSE Sensex was up 144.52 points at 39,108.36.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Infosys, Vodafone Idea, RBL Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, BHEL, ICICI Bank and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
