NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the red in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Tech Mahindra (down 1.88 per cent) , Infibeam Avenues (down 1.09 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 1.08 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (down 0.98 per cent) were trading in the red.Mindtree (down 0.92 per cent) , Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.45 per cent) and Tata Elxsi (down 0.32 per cent) too were trading lower.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.08 per cent down at 14,770.10 around 10:00 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.35 points at 11,588.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 38.22 points at 39,058.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, ITC, SBI, Bharti Airtel, Ashok Leyland, SAIL and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
