NEW DELHI: Most of the cement shares were trading higher in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of Andhra Cements (up 4.72 per cent), Sagar Cements (up 3.20 per cent), Mangalam Cement (up 1.84 per cent), Birla Corporation (up 1.69 per cent), Star Cement (up 1.09 per cent), JK Lakshmi Cement (up 1.03 per cent) and ACC (up 0.94 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Burnpur Cement (down 4.84 per cent), Gujarat Sidhee Cement (down 2.67 per cent) and Shree Digvijay Cement (down 2.33 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 20.90 points up at 11,807.75, the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 53.96 points at 39,885.8 at around 09:46 am.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 3.34 per cent), Bharti Infratel (up 2.25 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 2.18 per cent), Wipro (up 2.10 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (up 2.01 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 4.80 per cent), Tata Motors (down 2.90 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 2.14 per cent), YES Bank (down 2.06 per cent) and Eicher Motors (down 1.86 per cent) were trading in the red.
