NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session.Shares of Infosys (up 2.33 per cent) , Wipro (up 1.08 per cent) , Tata Elxsi (up 0.71 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.42 per cent) were trading higher.Oracle Financial Services Software (up 0.41 per cent) , MindTree (up 0.19 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.07 per cent) too were trading with gains.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.53 per cent up at 15,477.95 around 09:56 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 58 points at 11,902.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 194.74 points at 40,246.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, PNB, DLF and Tata Global Beverages were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
