NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks were trading with gains on Friday's morning session.Shares of IndusInd Bank (up 3.07 per cent), RBL Bank (up 3.06 per cent), DCB Bank (up 1.69 per cent), Federal Bank (up 1.13 per cent), Axis Bank (up 1.08 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.49 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.30 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.While YES Bank (down 1.49 per cent) was alone in the red.The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.84 per cent up at 16,699.65 around 10:10 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 14.50 points at 11,891.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 54.59 points at 40,183.64.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Indiabulls Housing, SAIL, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Zee Entertainment and Federal Bank were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
