NEW DELHI: Shares of auto companies were trading with gains in Tuesday's morning trade.Shares of Bharat Forge (up 3.46 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 2.14 per cent), Exide Industries (up 1.49 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 1.47 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.28 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 1.20 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (up 1.00 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.While Bosch (down 1.01 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 0.31 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 0.13 per cent) were among the top losers.The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.81 per cent up at 8,347.55 around 10:00 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 1.40 points at 11,939.9, while BSE Sensex was 1.85 points at 40,300.11.Among the 50 stocks in Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, JSPL, SBI, PNB, BEL, Indiabulls Housing, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda and SAIL were among most traded securities on the NSE.
