NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of RBL Bank (up 1.75 per cent) , YES Bank (up 1.71 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.65 per cent) and Federal Bank (up 0.42 per cent) were the top performers in the index.IndusInd Bank (down 1 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 0.80 per cent) , IDFC First Bank (down 0.71 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.55 per cent) were trading lower.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.22 per cent down at 31,048.20 around 09:54 am.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 6.85 points at 11,920.30 while the BSE Sensex was up 11.73 points at 40,356.81.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, DLF, Bank of Baroda, RBL Bank, SAIL and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
