NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with gains in Wednesday's morning session.Shares of Wipro (up 1.30 per cent) , Tata Elxsi (up 1.13 per cent) , MindTree (up 1.12 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.94 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.HCL Technologies (up 0.92 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 0.62 per cent) , Infosys (up 0.49 per cent) and NIIT Technologies (up 0.43 per cent) too were trading higher.The Nifty IT index was trading 0.76 per cent up at 15,035.30 around 09:56 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 48.40 points at 12,086.10, while the BSE Sensex was up 155.55 points at 40,976.85.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, ICICI Bank, Zee Ent., Motherson Sumi, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, L-T Fin Holding and Biocon were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
