NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was down with its components trading lower in Friday's afternoon session.Shares of Power Finance Corporation (down 1.97 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 1.80 per cent) , Cholamandalam Investment - Finance Company (down 1.50 per cent) and Bajaj Holdings - Investment (down 1.45 per cent) were trading with losses.
Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.26 per cent) , REC (down 1.16 per cent) , SBI Life Insurance Company (down 1.16 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 1.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.90 per cent down at 14,157.90 around 11:56 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 113.90 points at 12,037.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 398.21 points at 40,731.96.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 were trading in the green, while 43 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bharti Infratel, L-T Fin Holding, Bank of Baroda, NBCC , ZEEL and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
