NEW DELHI: The Nifty Energy index was trading with loses in the Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of Reliance Industries (down 0.79 per cent), GAIL (India) (down 0.7 per cent), HPCL (down 0.66 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.48 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Oil - Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.36 per cent), Adani Transmissions (up 1.02 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 0.95 per cent), NTPC (up 0.7 per cent) and Tata Power Company (up 0.63 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Energy index was trading 0.13 per cent down at 15950.25 around 10:55 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was down 15.90 points at 12246.85, while the BSE Sensex was 54.51 points at 41588.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Zee Entertainment, SBI, BHEL, SAIL, Tata Motors, JSPL and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
