NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading with losses in Friday's afternoon session.
Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (down 2.78 per cent) , CESC (down 1.7 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.54 per cent) , Reliance Power (down 1.41 per cent) , Siemens (down 1.25 per cent) , Adani Power (down 1.09 per cent) , Power Grid Corporation of India (down 1.03 per cent) , NTPC (down 1.03 per cent) , Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.99 per cent) , Larsen - Toubro (down 0.92 per cent) , Interglobe Aviation (down 0.9 per cent) , NBCC (India) (down 0.8 per cent) , Adani Ports - Special Economic Zone (down 0.73 per cent) , NCC (down 0.51 per cent) , Container Corporation of India (down 0.49 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.58 per cent down at 3292.60 around 12:03 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 61.15 points at 12,221.05 , while the BSE Sensex was 191.96 points at 41,434.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, GMR Infra, Tata Motors, ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, Zee Ent.
and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
