NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 9.22 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday.Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.67 crore) , Zee Ent.
(number of shares traded: 0.55 crore) , Bharti Airtel (number of shares traded: 0.55 crore) , ONGC (number of shares traded: 0.43 crore) , Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore) , Coal India Ltd (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore) , BHEL (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore) and Havells India (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Bharti Airtel (Rs 283.26 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by Havells India (Rs 222.41 crore) , HDFC Bank (Rs 205.91 crore) , Zee Ent.
(Rs 154.64 crore) , Infosys (Rs 114.23 crore) , RIL (Rs 108.30 crore) , Can Fin Homes (Rs 104.83 crore) , SBI (Rs 96.66 crore) , ICICI Bank (Rs 79.69 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 79.02 crore)The NSE Nifty index was trading 28.15 points up at 12,198, while BSE Sensex was up 124.74 points at 41,448.55 around 09:32 am.
In the Nifty index, Vedanta (up 2.21 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.91 per cent) , Wipro (up 1.82 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.30 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (up 1.10 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Coal India (down 3.76 per cent) , Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 3.46 per cent) , Power Grid Corporation of India (down 2.94 per cent) , NTPC (down 2.52 per cent) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 1.00 per cent) were among the top losers.
