NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading in the positive zone in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of Mindtree (up 2.01 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (up 1.96 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.61 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.4 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (up 1.35 per cent) , Wipro (up 1.3 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 1.03 per cent) and Tata Elxsi (up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty IT index was trading 1.26 per cent up at 16378.95 around 09:52 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20.25 points at 12190.1 , while the BSE Sensex was up 84.71 points at 41408.52 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Bharti Airtel, ONGC, Tata Motors, Coal India Ltd, Havells India, BHEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
