NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 5.73 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.Shares of Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 3.67 crore) , YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.69 crore) , Axis Bank (number of shares traded: 0.58 crore) , RBL Bank (number of shares traded: 0.51 crore) , ZEEL (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore) , SBI (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore) , Indiabulls Housing Finance (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore) and Reliance Capital (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Axis Bank (Rs 422.43 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by Larsen - Toubro (Rs 290.07 crore) , HDFC Bank (Rs 183.37 crore) , RBL Bank Ltd.
(Rs 172.11 crore) , Zee Ent.
(Rs 127.16 crore) , Infosys (Rs 122.02 crore) , SBI (Rs 115.86 crore) , HDFC (Rs 105.61 crore) , ICICI Bank (Rs 105.57 crore) and Kotak Bank (Rs 100.15 crore).The NSE Nifty index was trading 33.3 points up at 12,140.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 138.19 points at 41,253.57 around 09:31 am.
In the Nifty index, Larsen - Toubro (up 3.06 per cent) , Axis Bank (up 2.58 per cent) , Indian Oil Corporation (up 2.11 per cent) , Infosys (up 1.32 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.83 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 3.96 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (down 1.56 per cent) , Cipla (down 1.02 per cent) , UPL (down 0.95 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (down 0.87 per cent) were the top losers.
