NEW DELHI: Most of the sugar stocks were trading with mixed signals on Thursday's morning session.Shares of SBEC Sugar (up 5.00 per cent), Rana Sugars (up 4.89 per cent), Piccadily Agro Industries (up 4.29 per cent), Sakthi Sugars (up 1.09 per cent) and Vishwaraj Sugar Industries (up 1.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Piccadily Sugar - Allied (down 4.28 per cent), Indian Sucrose (down 3.36 per cent), Parvati Sweetners (down 2.10 per cent), Dalmia Bharat Sugar - Industries (down 1.74 per cent) and KCP Sugar - Industries (down 1.31 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 56.20 points up at 12,163.1, while the 30share BSE Sensex was up 212.76 points at 41,328.14 at around 10:04 am.
Axis Bank (up 2.74 per cent), Larsen - Toubro (up 2.56 per cent), Infosys (up 1.55 per cent), Oil - Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.25 per cent) and Tata Steel (up 1.03 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Asian Paints (down 0.56 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.54 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.37 per cent), IndusInd Bank (down 0.2 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.19 per cent) were trading in the red.
