NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading lower in Thursday's morning session.
Shares of P - G Hygiene (down 0.6 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (down 0.49 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.29 per cent), United Spirits (down 0.22 per cent), Marico (down 0.15 per cent), Britannia Industries (down 0.15 per cent), Jubilant Foodworks (down 0.1 per cent), United Breweries (down 0.02 per cent) and ITC (down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.01 per cent up at 31155.2 around 10:32 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 43.60 points at 12150.5 , while the BSE Sensex was up 163.61 points at 41278.99 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Oil Corp, Zee Ent., RBL Bank Ltd., Axis Bank, Tata Motors, SBI and PFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
