NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 1.55 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Tuesday.Shares of Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 1.28 crore) , ITC (number of shares traded: 0.78 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.64 crore) , NALCO (number of shares traded: 0.64 crore) , Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.45 crore) , SBI (number of shares traded: 0.45 crore) , GAIL (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore) , Zee Ent.
(number of shares traded: 0.36 crore) and BHEL (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
ITC (Rs 168.36 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by SBI (Rs 144.18 crore) , Tata Motors (Rs 110.52 crore) , Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 104.35 crore) , Bajaj Finance (Rs 102.64 crore) , RIL (Rs 102.57 crore) , Tata Steel (Rs 91.61 crore) , HDFC Bank (Rs 88.91 crore) , Zee Ent.
(Rs 82.65 crore) and ICICI Bank (Rs 82.39 crore) The NSE Nifty index was trading 127.25 points up at 12,158.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 433.08 points at 41,412.70 around 09:32 am.
In the Nifty index, GAIL (India) (up 3.45 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 2.72 per cent) , ITC (up 2.04 per cent) , Tata Steel (up 1.92 per cent) and Hindalco Industries (up 1.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While YES Bank (down 0.13 per cent) , Grasim Industries (down 0.13 per cent) , UPL (down 0.05 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 0.28 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.30 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
