NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading higher in Tuesday's morning session.
Shares of Just Dial (up 2.07 per cent) , Tata Elxsi (up 1.36 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.06 per cent) , Mindtree (up 0.9 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (up 0.35 per cent) and Infosys (up 0.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.17 per cent up at 16460.2 around 09:59 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 134.45 points at 12165.95 , while the BSE Sensex was up 438.86 points at 41418.48 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 were trading in the green, while 4 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, ITC, NALCO, SBI, GAIL, Zee Ent.
and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
