NEW DELHI: The BSE Power index was up in Wednesday's morning session.
Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (down 6.58 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 2.4 per cent), ABB India Ltd (down 2.19 per cent), JSW Energy (down 2.11 per cent), Thermax (down 1.9 per cent), Siemens (down 1.06 per cent), Torrent Power (down 0.47 per cent), Adani Transmissions (down 0.24 per cent), NTPC (down 0.19 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S-P BSE Power index was trading 0.21 per cent down at 1640.49 around 10:50 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 50.95 points at 10,400.50, while the BSE Sensex was down 122.87 points at 35,512.08.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, RIL, Petronet LNG, SBI, BHEL, Tata Motors, ITC and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
