NEW DELHI: The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Friday's afternoon session.
Shares of Graphite India (down 9.42 per cent), Grindwel Norton (down 7.91 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmission (down 7.73 per cent), HEG (down 7.7 per cent), SKF India (down 6.51 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 6.2 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 4.97 per cent), Finolex Cables (down 4.35 per cent), ABB India Ltd (down 4.18 per cent), Elgi Equipments (down 3.59 per cent), Solar Industries India (down 3.48 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 3.09 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 2.71 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (down 2.68 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (down 2.6 per cent), V-Guard Industries (down 2.33 per cent), Carborundum Universal (down 1.33 per cent), Larsen - Toubro (down 1.1 per cent) and Honeywell Automation India (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S-P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.9 per cent down at 13242.25 around 11:15 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 25.60 points at 9564.55 , while the BSE Sensex was down 86.53 points at 32691.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Bank of Baroda, IDFC First Bank Ltd., ONGC, SAIL, HDFC Bank and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
