NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading with losses in Friday's afternoon session.
Shares of Interglobe Aviation (down 6.99 per cent), NCC (down 6.77 per cent), Adani Power (down 6.44 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (down 4.8 per cent), Adani Ports - Special Economic Zone (down 4.69 per cent), Suzlon Energy (down 4.55 per cent), Torrent Power (down 4.28 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 3.8 per cent), Engineers India (down 3.5 per cent), Reliance Power (down 3.45 per cent), Siemens (down 2.66 per cent), CESC (down 2.45 per cent), Larsen - Toubro (down 2.02 per cent), NHPC (down 1.52 per cent), IRB Infrastructure Developers (down 1.4 per cent), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.24 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India (down 1.2 per cent), CG Power - Industrial Solutions (down 1 per cent), Tata Power Company (down -0.99 per cent) and NTPC (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.72 per cent down at 2543.5 around 11:54 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 76.15 points at 9514.0 , while the BSE Sensex was down 238.06 points at 32,540.08.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, GMR Infra, SAIL, IDFC First Bank Ltd., ITC, ICICI Bank and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
