NEW DELHI: Vedanta (Rs 948.83 crore) finished Monday's session as the most active stock in value terms on NSE.It was followed by Sun Pharma (Rs 833.13 crore), HDFC (Rs 601.21 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 569.45 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 525.22 crore), Infosys (Rs 491.34 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 483.91 crore) and ICICI Bank (Rs 453.73 crore), in that order.Headline indices Sensex and Nifty finished Monday's trade with losses, tracking weak global cues, as worries of a trade war between the US and world's other economies kept haunting investors.
The BSE Sensex stopped at 35,470, down 219 points or 0.61 per cent.Nifty pared 59 points, or 0.55 per cent, finishing day's trade at 10,762.Overall, 14 stocks remained in the green in the Nifty index, compared with 35 in the red and one unchanged.Sensex settled with 7 stocks advancing and 24 declining.UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finance and Infosys stood as the top gainers in the Nifty index.
