NEW DELHI: Shares of FCS Software (down 14.29 per cent), Raj Rayon (down 14.29 per cent), Nakoda (down 14.29 per cent) and Shekhawati Poly-Yarn (down 12.50 per cent) cracked up to 14 per cent on NSE during Friday's trade.Stocks such as Eveready Industries India (down 10 per cent), Monnet Ispat (down 9.90 per cent), Bedmutha Industries (down 9.86 per cent), Manav Infra Projects (down 8.52 per cent) and Goenka Diamond (down 8.33 per cent) plunged up to 10 per cent.Equity benchmarks were trading in the red, hit by weakness in bank stocks post RBI's hawkish policy stance and simmering oil prices.
However, a rally in IT stocks capped the fall.The NSE Nifty index was trading 15 points down at 10,551, while the BSE Sensex was down 36 points at 34,391 around 10:45 am (IST).Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Motors were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.However, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance, YES Bank, Tata Steel and State Bank of India were among the top losers in the Nifty pack.
