NEW DELHI: Losses in Oberoi Realty (down 2.36 per cent), DLF (down 1.85 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.76 per cent) were keeping the realty pack down during afternoon trade on Thursday.The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.02 per cent down at 272 around 3 pm.
Shares of Brigade Enterprises (down 0.74 per cent), Housing Development Infrastructure (down 0.50 per cent) and Godrej Properties (down 0.34 per cent) were also down.However, Unitech (up 1.20 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 0.40 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.36 per cent) and Sobha (up 0.27 per cent) were in the green.
Equity markets were up on gains in oil gas, bank, financial and FMCG stocks amid firm global cues.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 81 points at 11,029, while the BSE Sensex was up 297 points at 36,563.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Reliance Industries, BPCL, Bajaj Finance, Dr.
Reddy's Laboratories and Bajaj Finserv were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.On the other hand, UPL, Vedanta, Mahindra Mahindra and Bajaj Auto were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
