NEW DELHI: Adani Green Energy (up 19.35 per cent), VST Industries (up 13.67 per cent) and PC Jeweller (up 12.21 per cent) were witnessing strong traction in their shares during morning trade on Monday.Stocks such as Sharda Motor (up 8.89 per cent), Havells India (up 8.09 per cent), Bharat Rasayan (up 7.27 per cent), IFB Industries (up 5.96 per cent), UPL (up 5.53 per cent), LT Finance Holdings (up 5.21 per cent) and Responsive Industries (up 5.17 per cent) were trading over 5 per cent higher around the same time.
Equity markets were in the positive terrain on buying in bank, FMCG and auto stocks.ITC, ICICI Bank and Asian Paints were the drivers of rally in Sensex amid mixed Asian cues.
However, losses in HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries and Hero MotoCorp cooled off bourses a little.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 27 points up at 11,037, while the BSE Sensex was up 43 points at 36,539 around 10:15 am.In the Nifty index, 25 stocks were trading up, while 25 were down.UPL, ITC, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints and Indian Oil Corporation were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.On the contrary, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Wipro, Hindalco and HDFC Bank were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
