NEW DELHI: Gains in Havells India (up 8.77 per cent), V-Guard Industries (up 5.84 per cent), Suzlon Energy (up 4.37 per cent) and BHEL (up 2.74 per cent) were keeping the capital goods index up in Monday's session.
The BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.89 per cent up at 17,650 around 02:30 pm.
CG Power and Industrial Solutions (up 2.03 per cent), Schaeffler India (up 2.00 per cent), Carborundum Universal (up 1.57 per cent), NBCC (India) (up 1.42 per cent), Thermax (up 1.31 per cent), Lakshmi Machine Works (up 0.95 per cent), Finolex Cables (up 0.73 per cent), Siemens (up 0.45 per cent), Kalpataru Power Transmissions (up 0.44 per cent) and Larsen Toubro (up 0.29 per cent) too found themselves among the gainers.
However, Dilip Buildcon (down 1.29 per cent), BEML (down 0.72 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 0.65 per cent), SKF India (down 0.55 per cent), HEG (down 0.52 per cent), GE TD India (down 0.48 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 0.39 per cent) and Graphite India (down 0.31 per cent) were among the losers in the index.
FMCG, bank and auto stocks, including ITC, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Maruti Suzuki, were keeping the equity benchmarks up.The BSE Sensex was up 186 points at 36,682, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 58 points at 11,069.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
In the Sensex index, 21 stocks were advancing, while 10 were declining.Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel and State Bank of India featured among top Sensex gainers.
