NEW DELHI: Select cement players came under strain on Wednesday after ETNow reported that the NCLAT upheld regulator CCIs Rs 6,300 crore penalty on 11 firms.ACC and UltraTech Cement were down 1.15 per cent and 2.34 per cent, respectively.
Ambuja Cement and India Cement slipped 0.80 per cent and 3.63 per cent, respectively.JP Associates and Shree Cement came down by up to 4 per cent after the media report.
Dalmia Bharat was 0.81 per cent down at Rs 2,555.The benchmark Sensex pared its initial gains after hitting a new high of 36,928.06 today as investors turned cautious ahead of July futures and options (FO) expiry amid mixed quarterly earnings.
