NEW DELHI: Shares of Rajesh Exports (up 4.19 per cent), Blue Star (up 3.88 per cent), TTK Prestige (up 2.77 per cent) and VIP Industries (up 2.01 per cent) were trading with decent gains in afternoon trade on Monday.The BSE Consumer Durables index was trading 0.54 per cent up at 21,487 around 1 pm.
Symphony (up 1.72 per cent), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (up 1.32 per cent), Voltas (up 0.36 per cent) and PC Jeweller (up 0.21 per cent) too joined the pack of gainers in the index.Titan Company (down 1.12 per cent) and Whirlpool of India (down 0.49 per cent) were the two stocks that were down around that time.
Gains in select bank, energy, metal and auto stocks were keeping the benchmark indices in the higher territory.The BSE Sensex was up 143 points at 37,700, while the NSE Nifty50 index was up 28 points at 11,389.In the Sensex kitty, 21 stocks were advancing, while 10 stocks were declining in trade.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India were leading among Sensex scrips.
Hindustan Unilever, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Sun Pharma were among the top losers in the Sensex index.
