NEW DELHI: The counter of YES Bank, with over 5.06 crore shares changing hands, was buzzing as the most traded stock on NSE in Wednesday's session.Shares of YES Bank were trading 7.89 per cent up at Rs 216.70 apiece on NSE around 10:30 am.Infibeam Avenues (number of shares traded: 2.10 crore), JP Associates (1.93 crore), Reliance Communications (1.54 crore), PNB (1.39 crore), Suzlon Energy (1.18 crore), DLF (1.05 crore), DHFL (1.03 crore), Vedanta (0.95 crore) and Bandhan Bank (0.76 crore) too featured among the most traded stocks on NSE.The pack of most traded stocks, in terms of value, too was being led by YES Bank (Rs 1,088.02 crore).Bandhan Bank (Rs 351.15 crore), DHFL (Rs 330.30 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 322.50 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 262.36 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 259.57 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 249.71 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 245.35 crore), Eicher Motors (Rs 227.75 crore) and HDFC (Rs 224.07 crore) were the other stocks in the league of most active in terms of value.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 98 points down at 10,910, while the BSE Sensex was down 283 points at 36,243 around 10:30 am.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were advancing and 37 were declining.YES Bank, Adani Ports, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Steel and JSW Steel were among the Nifty gainers.Eicher Motors, Bharti Infratel, Mahindra Mahindra, Grasim Industries and Maruti Suzuki India were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
