NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading mixed in Monday's session with the Nifty Auto index trading 0.79 per cent down at 9,012.35 around 10:24 am on Monday.
Shares of Exide Industries (up 2.87 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (up 2.77 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 1.21 per cent) and Tata Motors (DVR) (up 0.45 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
MRF (down 2.89 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 2.56 per cent), Mahindra Mahindra (down 2.02 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (down 1.36 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (down 1.14 per cent) appeared among the laggards.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.15 points at 10,452.35 while BSE Sensex was down 54.78 points at 34,678.8 at that time.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, HPCL, ICICI Bank, ITC, Idea Cellular, Ashok Leyland, Bank of Baroda, SBI, Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corp, RIL, Vedanta BPCL, SAIL, Hindalco Inds.
and ONGC were among most traded shares on the NSE.
